With her experience of advising both public and private sector bodies on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, Frances is able to offer our clients expert guidance on various employment and HR issues. Her experience encompasses employee severances, including negotiating compromise/settlement agreements, providing general employment advice and drafting contracts of employment, service agreements, policies, procedures and staff handbooks. She also has extensive employment tribunal experience acting for claimants and respondents.
Her particular expertise, however, includes advising on high-value and complicated executive appointment and terminations, large-scale redundancy and restructure projects. She has also advised on several large corporate transactions, many of which have TUPE implications, and frequently drafts consultation plans which help guide clients through the information and consultation process. Frances also advises on the crossover between data protection and employment, including document retention, sharing employee data and drafting GDPR compliant employment contracts.
While her artistry as a lawyer is obvious for all to see, what many don’t know is that Frances is an avid artist outside work. From her early days daubing on the walls of a house her parents were viewing, Frances now spends much of her spare time painting in both watercolours and acrylic. Influenced, no doubt, by her favourite artist, Renoir.
