The solution
We have a team of lawyers with expertise and hands-on experience in the technology sector who advise on everything from commercialising technology ideas, tech procurement, contracts, data protection, intellectual property and disputes.
We offer both bespoke legal advice as well as packages and retainers to Sunderland Software affiliated businesses. We also carry out training, webinars and events that highlight key learnings and areas of concern, attending residencies to support the team.

Over the past 5 years we've supported a number of businesses with a wide range of legal advice.
Our commercial and corporate teams have worked closely to deliver a number of significant investments including helping immersive reality firm XR Therapeutics to secure £530,000 investment and advising Durham-based Fumarii Technologies on a significant investment deal to help develop and launch its new cloud platform.
The team were asked to support Special iApps by Sunderland Software City in 2020 and initial conversations lead to a close working relationship to help this family-run, award winning educational App company progress to the next stage of its journey. The team provided advice on the business contracting and data protection requirements, developing fit for purpose, user friendly terms, appropriate to the business customers and we are enjoying watching the ongoing development of this great offer.
