Having spent some 25 years providing confidential advice to business owners and other wealthy individuals in the North East, you could say that Keith was the obvious choice for heading up our Private Client Team.
His experience in all aspects of personal estate planning for clients and their families has covered matters as diverse as wills, family trusts, inheritance tax, business succession, asset protection and probate. Since joining Muckle, however, Keith has specialised in advising business owners, whether they are just starting up, growing their business, or planning to sell it. Working closely with their other professional advisers, such as accountants and financial advisers, he particularly enjoys helping clients plan to protect their business and family wealth, as well as pass it on to their family as efficiently as possible.
A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and also a member of STEP’s Business Families Special Interest Group, Keith was described by Legal 500 2013 as having ‘significant technical knowledge, combined with practical experience.’
If there’s one thing Keith has dedicated himself to for longer than his career, it has to be sport. For over 30 years now he has followed the trials and tribulations of Newcastle United from the same seat at St. James’ Park, and has being teeing off at Northumberland Golf Club for many years. Meanwhile, his tennis is played at the Northumberland Club in Jesmond, where many moons ago he watched Greg Rusedski win his first professional tennis tournament.
