As well as providing company law advice and assisting on acquisitions and disposals, Sarah has particular expertise in the Education sector. This enables her to advise on the corporate and governance aspects of Academy conversions, on incorporating the Academy companies, on negotiating the key agreements, and project managing the legal aspects of the process. In recent months she has advised on the conversion of St Thomas More R.C. High School, which was the first Catholic school to become an Academy in North Tyneside.
Before returning to corporate finance on joining Muckle, Sarah worked at a large national firm as a corporate and then pensions lawyer, where she advised on a large number of transactions and gained extensive experience on the main public sector pension schemes.
When she isn’t immersing herself in matters of a legal nature, Sarah can often be found dipping into a good book or the swimming pool (she swims regularly). Her leisure time also includes trips to the theatre, walks in the countryside and regular weekend trips to visit family in the Scottish Borders.
