Frances has been with Muckle since May 2012. Specialising in employment law, she has experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, and has advised universities, academies, maintained and private schools on various employment and HR issues. These have ranged from day-to-day disciplinary and grievance issues, through to performance management, employee consultation, varying terms and conditions, and making redundancies on both a collective and individual basis.
As well as looking after clients in the private and education sectors both in contentious and non-contentious employment matters, Frances has a particular interest in advising on TUPE transfers, and as a result has been able to advise numerous academies on the conversion process and post-conversion issues.
While her artistry as a lawyer is obvious for all to see, what many don’t know is that Frances is an avid artist outside work. From her early days daubing on the walls of a house her parents were viewing, Frances now spends much of her spare time painting in both watercolours and acrylic. Influenced, no doubt, by her favourite artist, Renoir.
