Podcast: Procurement post-Brexit

Published: 3rd Dec 2020

If you work in the public sector, or provide services to the public sector, the procurement process you’re used to following is set to change at the end of the Brexit transition period.

Public bodies currently operate under procurement rules based on EU law. With Brexit, there will be immediate changes, as the UK government’s new Find A Tender service replaces OJEU for advertising UK public sector tender opportunities, and other changes may follow.

So does Brexit mean an end to the red tape that public authorities currently have to go through? What happens to all the EU rules and case law? And what should businesses bidding for public sector contracts do to prepare?

These are just a few of the questions Alison Walton – partner and head of our public procurement team, addresses in this podcast. Alison also shares some really useful practical tips for organisations and public bodies to take away.
