Celebrating success at the Insider North East Dealmakers Awards 2026
Our corporate team had a fantastic night celebrating dealmaking excellence at the North East Dealmaker Awards 2026. We were delighted to see four transactions we worked on win each of the deal categories, including the new awards category, National/International Deal of the Year.
National/International Deal of the Year
We were thrilled to see the reinvestment in Aspire by LDC, win National/International Deal of the Year.
Corporate partners Philip Clare and Stephanie Brown led on the advice to Aspire, with support from solicitors Ben Evans, Sophie Cragg, paralegal Robert Winter, associate solicitor Georgia Sproat and trainee solicitor Jason Sinclair.
Deal of the Year (sub £5m)
We were proud to see Maven Capital Partners’ Investment in iPac Packaging Innovations win in the Deal of the Year (sub £5m) category.
Corporate partner Stephanie Brown and solicitor Sophie Cragg in our corporate team advised iPac, helping get this deal over the line.
Deal of the Year (£5m-£20m)
LDC’s Investment in Shoptimised took the win for the Deal of the Year (£5-£20m+) category.

Deal of the Year (£20m+)
It was great to see Hays Travel's Acquisition of Victoria Travel Group recognised in the Deal of the Year (£20m+) category.
