Muckle sweeping shortlist success in Dealmakers awards
We are excited to announce that both our team and our client’s deals have secured nine nominations, across every available category, in the Insider North East Dealmakers Awards 2021.
Corporate Law Firm of the Year Award
Insider Media have published the list of shortlisted deals today and we are in the running, once again, for the prestigious Corporate Law Firm of the Year Award. We’re up against stiff competition but hope to build on our previous eight wins and secure a ninth!
Corporate Lawyer of the Year Award
We also have two corporate partners shortlisted in the Corporate Lawyer of the Year category, with leading dealmakers Sarah Forster and Matthew Walsh making the list.
PE/VC Capital Deal of the Year Award
In the Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year category our work on the investment in Newcells Biotech by Northstar Ventures and Mercia makes the list.
Deal of the Year Sub-£10m Award
We’ve two nominations in the Deal of Year sub-£10m category with the Acquisition of Stirling Solutions by Mandata Group on the list alongside the Acquisition of Classic Windows NE by Premier Roof Systems.
Deal of the Year Above £10m Award
In the Deal of the Year above-£10m category we get three nominations. The Kitwave IPO, the Acquisition of Hyperdrive Innovation and BorgWarner Gateshead by Turntide Transport and the Sale of It’s All Good to Valeo Foods all get a mention.

The winners of all the awards – including Dealmaker of the Year, sponsored by Muckle LLP - will be unveiled at the annual North East Dealmakers Awards Dinner which takes place at The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 16 September 2021. The names of this year's judges will also be revealed.
