We’re proud to celebrate the success of Abi Chorlton-Wilson, a trainee solicitor at Muckle, who has won the Northumbria University MLaw Exempting Degree Prize.

A strong start to Abi’s legal career

The Northumbria University MLaw Exempting Degree Prize recognises outstanding academic achievement from students completing the university’s MLaw Exempting Degree.

Abi is currently sitting in our real estate team, where she is gaining experience advising clients on a range of property matters. She has previously completed seats in our construction and corporate teams, building a broad range of experience across different areas of law.

Abi said: “I’m really proud to have won the MLaw Exempting Degree Prize. My time at Northumbria gave me a fantastic foundation for my career in law, so it’s particularly special to receive this recognition after graduating.

“I’m now really enjoying my training contract at Muckle and the opportunity to put what I’ve learnt into practice, while continuing to develop my skills and experience.”

We’re proud to support Abi as she begins her career with us and look forward to seeing her continue to develop throughout her training contract.

Gail Bennett, partner and head of real estate, said: “It’s fantastic to see Abi’s hard work and academic achievement recognised. Achieving the highest final-year average in her year is a fantastic accomplishment and winning the prize is a fitting recognition of her commitment and ability.
