We’re delighted to announce that Hayley Bartram, senior associate in our dispute resolution team, has gained specialist accreditation with the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

Based at our Teesside office in Stockton, Hayley specialises in contentious probate and trusts, alongside her wider dispute resolution practice. Her work includes advising individuals, directors, shareholders, charities and professional executors on disputes following the death of a loved one.

Specialist expertise in contentious probate

ACTAPS is a specialist organisation for lawyers who focus on disputes involving trusts, wills and estates. Its accreditation recognises specialist knowledge and experience in contentious trusts and probate, including disputes over the validity of wills, inheritance claims, capacity issues, executor and trustee disputes and the administration of estates.

Hayley said: “I’m really pleased to have gained ACTAPS accreditation. Contentious probate can be particularly sensitive, often involving complex legal issues alongside difficult family circumstances. The accreditation reflects my experience in this area and will help me continue to provide clear, practical advice to clients when they need it most.

Susan Howe, partner and head of dispute resolution, said: “We’re delighted to see Hayley achieve this specialist accreditation. Her contentious probate and trusts expertise is a valuable addition to our dispute resolution team and strengthens the specialist advice we can offer clients across the North.

“Hayley combines strong technical knowledge with a pragmatic and empathetic approach, which is particularly important when dealing with disputes involving families and estates.”

Supporting clients through contentious probate disputes

At Muckle, we understand that disputes over wills, trusts and estates can be both legally complex and challenging. Our specialist contentious trusts and probate team advises beneficiaries, executors and trustees on a wide range of disputes, including challenges to wills, Inheritance Act claims, and disputes around the administration of estates.
