Acquisition of Cloud CoCo wins 'Deal of the Year' (Medium) at Insider UK Dealmakers Awards
We were delighted to see our client Aspire Technology Solutions' acquisition of CloudCoCo recognised in the Deal of the Year (Medium) category at the Insider UK Dealmakers Awards 2026.
The black-tie awards dinner brought together the UK’s dealmaking community to celebrate winners of the regional awards who’ve demonstrated the height of dealmaking excellence.
A strong regional story
Partner and head of corporate finance Philip Clare, corporate solicitor Ben Evans, and banking solicitor Georgia Sproat from our corporate finance team provided legal support to Aspire, along with other advisors LDC, DAC Beachcroft and CMS.
Building on its acquisition of Cloud Cover, the deal marked a strategic advancement in Aspire’s plan to expand its UK presence and further strengthen its ability to deliver industry-leading managed IT services, robust security solutions, and integrated modern workplace technology to clients across multiple industries.
The acquisition will bring more than £10m in additional revenue and is anticipated to bring in 300 new customers for the Gateshead-headquartered business, setting the stage for growth.
Judges described the deal as a ‘strong regional story, complex deal, with added regulatory considerations.’
