Muckle advises Blair West on seven-figure Investment from Frontier Development Capital
Legal experts from our award-winning corporate, and banking and finance teams advised executive search and finance recruitment company Blair West on its latest investment from Frontier Development Capital (FDC).
The transaction marks the next stage in Newcastle-headquartered Blair West’s growth strategy and follows a previous investment from North Star Ventures in 2024, which supported their expansion.
While Blair West’s service model and delivery teams will be retained, this latest investment will allow the company to further invest in its people, expand into key sectors and bolster its technology capabilities.
Strengthening operations in the region
Blair West support private equity firms and high-growth businesses across the UK with recruitment, applying thorough research and analysis to assess talent against a company’s strategic requirements.
Since its conception, the firm has grown from a two-person operation to a team of 17, committed to delivering recruitment services to over 600 client organisations.
FDC has an excellent reputation as an active investor in the North East and regional SMEs, further demonstrated by its seven-figure investment in Blair West.
In addition to external funding, the transaction also included the partial exit of co-founder Simon West, who will move into a Non-Executive Director role whilst retaining his seat on the board. CEO David Blair will continue to lead the company into its next growth stage.
