It’s fair to say that Chris knows a thing or two about sport. Having trained at a leading national charity practice, Chris joined Muckle in 2011 to advise our growing number of clients in the community sports sector. After a spell elsewhere, including working as an in-house commercial lawyer, Chris rejoined Muckle in 2021 as a senior associate.
Chris regularly advises sports clubs and sports’ governing bodies on constitutional and commercial matters, including charitable/CASC status, governance, contracts and grants, charitable and non-charitable trading, joint ventures, mergers and restructures.
He is also experienced advising professional sports clubs and sports professionals on setting up affiliated charities as well as commercial contracts generally.
Living and breathing the world of sport in his spare time too, Chris is a keen runner and supports Stevenage FC. The Legal 500 described him as someone who “cares about getting it right and goes the extra mile.”
