Lydia moved from her home in Northern Ireland (sadly leaving the family dog behind in the process) to study a law degree at Newcastle University, during which Newcastle became her new favourite city. She then went to Leeds to do the Legal Practice Course, before returning to Newcastle to begin her training contract with Muckle in September 2019.
Lydia is currently in her final seat in Real Estate, where she assists with a wide range of transactions including commercial property sales, purchases, development projects, leases, funding and corporate support work amongst other things. Her previous seat was in Construction where she worked on construction and development projects and also helped with adjudications and disputes. Her seat before that was in Banking and Restructuring, in which she worked on banking transactions, loans, insolvency and bankruptcy matters and the banking side of corporate transactions.
In her spare time, Lydia likes being active and particularly enjoys running and golf at the moment. She also loves to bake, sing (both in her flat and in the Muckle Choir), listen to music, hang out with dogs when possible and binge watch Brooklyn 99 on occasion.
