A north-east girl born and bred, it is perhaps no wonder that Julie is one of the most reliable Paralegals you’re likely to meet. And that’s because she has, over the years, gained an enviable amount of technical knowledge in real estate transactions across a wide range of often complex work.
That work has been undertaken for private, public sector and social housing providers, and has included acting for commercial landlords in connection with estate management issues such as new leases, surrenders, licences and assignments of commercial premises. It has also included acting on behalf of a large social housing provider in delivering its ongoing void stock portfolio disposal programme; assisting with large-scale portfolio refinancing, disposals and acquisitions; supporting the real estate department with post-completion work, including SDLT and Land Registry applications; as well as assisting with development site set-ups and dealing with plot disposals. All of which has, as you might expect, made Julie very commercially aware, and has also enabled her to develop business by building excellent, long-term relationships with her clients.
Outside work, Julie’s long-term interest in a variety of sports, but especially football, has, by her own admission, all been indulged from the comfort of her armchair – which is where she also satisfies her passion for Marvel superhero movies and crime fiction. However, she does love getting out and exploring places like the Lake District, and has been tempted to travel further afield by the promise of sunshine and sightseeing, even though she’s absolutely terrified of flying.
