Following our recent office refurbishment, Muckle LLP has donated over 300 excess furniture items to two local charities: Blyth Valley Disabled Forum and CT Furniture.

Blyth Valley Disabled Forum (BVDF) Homecare

BVDF Homecare provides a fully bespoke care service to people living in their own homes. Highly-experienced staff support in a range of areas – including meal preparation, medication support, and personal care – all with client dignity and privacy at the forefront.

David Bramley, CEO at BVDF, said: “Muckle’s donation has simultaneously improved our physical spaces and positively impacted the wellbeing of staff and clients alike.

"By utilising the furniture donated by Muckle, we have created a dedicated office area for our coordination team and also enhanced our existing staff room, helping our people come together, connect and thrive. We have also upgraded the pool room for our Young People’s Project, which focuses on making a difference for disabled children and young adults in our area.

"We have already received positive feedback from the staff and clients about these spaces and would like to thank Muckle for its support.”

CT Furniture

As part of the registered charity Community Transport, CT Furniture collects furniture donations from individuals and businesses and sells them to lower-income individuals, families and community organisations at affordable prices.

Michael Patterson, Business Development Assistant at CT Furniture, said: “Muckle is a business that takes ESG very seriously, and is committed to making a difference in its communities, no matter how big or small. The recent donation of over 250 items, including tables and lounge chairs, has significantly helped CT Furniture.

“Firstly, it has allowed us to provide a greater range of high-quality furniture to individuals and families who otherwise would have struggled to afford such items. Secondly, the surplus funds generated from the sale of these items have supported our CT Passenger-accessible minibuses fleet. We are very grateful for the generosity of the Muckle team.”

Our commitment to ESG

Jason Wainwright, managing partner at Muckle, said: “Care is one of our key values and we place great importance on helping others wherever possible, and our office refurbishment is no different. Having furniture is something that too many of us take for granted, and we are delighted to have been able to help two local charities through our donation.”

By repurposing rather than sending it to landfill, donating furniture also has the added benefit of improving sustainability.

Donating furniture is just one of the ways that we support both charitable causes and sustainability. Find out more about our ESG work here.
