National Sport Governing Bodies retain Muckle for another year

We are pleased to announce that Sport England has extended our contract we will continue to provide legal advice and guidance to National Sporting Governing Bodies, via the Legal Panel Framework for another year until March 2016.

Following a national tender in 2012 we were appointed jointly by Sport England, Sport Wales, UK Sport and the Sport & Recreation Alliance to an exclusive panel of only 10 firms to provide a full legal support service to over 300 national governing bodies (NGBs), including the likes of The FA, RFU, RFL, ECB, LTA, BBBC and all British governing bodies of Olympic sports etc.

Partner and Head of Sport, John Devine leads our cross-department Sports Team and comments: “Over the past 3 years, we have enjoyed continuing to build relationships with the NGBs via the Legal Panel Framework.  This announcement means that NGBs will continue to benefit from our advice at competitive rates.”

As part of the Legal Panel Framework, we have supported many National Governing Bodies (NGBs) on a wide range of legal matters, including advice to NGBs such as The Football Association, Sport England and England Athletics, as well as innovative new sporting bodies such as Parkour UK.
