Muckle retains accolade as top employer for women

We are delighted to be recognised as a winner at the North East Chamber of Commerce’s Inspiring Female Awards – for the second year in a row.  

Taking place on 24 November at Newcastle Civic Centre, the awards ceremony saw a range of businesses and individuals commended for their contributions to making a difference for women in the workplace and beyond.

Building on success

We were awarded Most Inspiring Employer in the large business category.

After winning the award last year, we were recognised for our consistency in supporting female talent, as well as our inclusive and supportive culture. In particular, our mentoring programme, benefits package and working parents’ group were all recognised as key initiatives in supporting women in the workplace.

Jason Wainwright, managing partner, said: “We have enjoyed some fantastic awards successes in the last year, a testament to our people and culture. We are proud to be recognised as a leading employer for women once again. Although times are changing, senior positions in the legal sector are still very much male-dominated, and we are playing a small part in helping to change that, ensuring inclusivity for all”.
