going green embracing environmental sustainability

As the world’s attention is becoming increasingly focussed on taking responsibility for the environment, environmental sustainability is an issue that charities, like the rest of society, cannot ignore. Given that there are almost 180,000 registered charities in England and Wales, there is a real potential for even the smallest green initiative adopted by those charities to have a positive environmental impact.

In the new episode of our podcast series, Charity Matters, we’re joined by Carol Botten, former Chief Executive of VONNE, and Zoe Hull, Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships at Northern Stage, to discuss the challenges and, perhaps more importantly, the opportunities available to charities that seek to improve the environment through the direct work that they do or through their own administrative systems.
