Nominate an organisation for us to help this Christmas

As we approach the Christmas break, we’ve decided to do things a little differently this year. Normally we take a light-hearted look at the world of employment law with a festive themed newsletter, but that just doesn’t feel right in these exceptional times.

We’ve been amazed and humbled at the way businesses have evolved to face the challenges of 2020 and future proof their organisations for 2021 and beyond. We’ve also taken heart from the sense of community and the sharing of ideas amongst HR professionals in particular.

However, we appreciate that organisations in the charitable and Third Sectors are largely reliant on charitable funds and donations and that many have been hugely and negatively impacted by the global pandemic.

12 Community Days of Christmas

At Muckle, we care about our local communities and everyone here receives two days' volunteering leave per year to spend helping local causes they care about.

So for our Christmas contribution this year, our team would like to collectively offer 12 Community Days of free employment legal support during 2021.

We'd like to give 12 local charitable organisations access to one of our experienced employment lawyers for up to one day of pro bono support. This could be used to cover an employment law related training need or project (such as a review of contracts and policies).

Virtual/remote support will be available until restrictions ease, after which time, we’ll be happy to travel to site to provide our help.

Nominate an organisation today

Do you support a charity or are you part of an organisation that would benefit from employment legal advice?

Nominate an organisation by completing this form or by sending an email to [email protected] by Friday 15 January 2021, and be considered for a day’s pro bono employment law support.

In your email please include:

1. the name of the organisation and a bit about them;

2. the main contact’s details;

3. a summary of what assistance you would like;

4. any desired timescale; and

5. what the benefit would be to the organisation.

We will then be in touch with those nominated organisations by 31 January 2021.

We all hope that you all have a relaxed and safe festive break and look forward to talking and working with you in the New Year.

Best wishes

Chris Maddock and the Employment Team
