Robin is a commercial lawyer with 20 years’ experience advising on terms and conditions, distribution and agency agreements, technology licences, joint venture and collaboration agreements, public procurement matters and general trading agreements across a range of sectors. He has delivered training on public procurement, contract law and directors’ duties and recently delivered seminars on dealing with the impact of Brexit on commercial contracts. He acts for a number of manufacturing clients and is familiar with the legal issues faced by those in the sector.
He was educated at Oxford University and Nottingham Law School before returning to his native Newcastle after graduating, where he has worked as a solicitor ever since.
In more general areas, Robin also has extensive expertise in procurement, corporate transactions, education sector support and commercial contract work, as well as constitutional and governance matters and corporate structures.
Outside his legal career, Robin is a keen runner and wasted no time in joining the Muckle Runners, launching into a training session during his first week with the company. He also swims, enjoys days on the hills in Northumberland or the Lake District with his family and skiing.
