This training session is for those who regularly deal with contracts – in particular, those entering into contracts with organisations (either internal or external) based outside the UK. The training will help individuals understand:
- which countries have met the UK’s ‘adequacy regulations’;
- the purpose of the EU/US Data Privacy Framework and UK’s extension to it (data bridge);
- who is responsible for implementing the appropriate safeguards;
- what appropriate safeguards should be put in place (for example international data transfer agreements/addendums or binding corporate rules); and
- when to complete a transfer risk and/or data protection impact assessment.
