About this vacancy

The role

We'd be very interested in talking newly qualified solicitors who have a real interest in supporting our Commercial Debt Recovery litigation team.  The successful candidate will work in our fantastic legal team on a wide range of debt collection matters covering:

  • Dealing with complex pre-action disputes.
  • Dealing with all types of mediations and settlement meetings.
  • Dealing with and drafting applications in proceedings.
  • Managing a case load of defended actions, including small claims.
  • Assisting and progressing with fast track and intermediate cases.
  • Drafting witness statements.
  • Drafting costs schedules.
  • Instructing counsel.
  • Preparation for trials.

So who are we looking for?  We are seeking a proactive and motivated self-starter with strong technical expertise in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to teamwork, together with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

You will possess excellent communication, people and client management skills, as well as good commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business development.

The team is a key part of the wider Muckle LLP team, which is over 200 people strong. Our people are based across our Newcastle, Cumbria and Teesside offices.
