Caroline Wood

Trainee Solicitor

Caroline joined Muckle as a trainee in September 2018 after graduating from Newcastle University with a law degree in 2016. She then studied for the LPC in her home city of Manchester before returning to Newcastle.

Caroline enjoyed her first 3 month seat in the Dispute Resolution team, where she gained experience in disputes arising from unpaid debts, breach of warranties and infringement of intellectual property rights. Caroline then moved to the Corporate team for 3 months assisted on a variety of matters including disposals, acquisitions, private equity investments, reorganisations and general company law matters. She is currently supporting our Banking, Restructuring and Insolvency team for her third seat.

Outside of work, Caroline is a student mentor through the Social Mobility Foundation mentoring scheme.

In her spare time Caroline she also tries to ski whenever she can and actually spent five months working as a chalet host in the French Alps before she joined us. Extreme sports loving Caroline also enjoys surfing and bodyboarding – preferably in warmer climates than the North East has to offer!
