Having joined Muckle in December 2014, Nicola brings over sixteen years’ experience in dealing with funding transactions and acts for a range of banks and other commercial lenders as well as borrowers. Although she undertakes banking work across all sectors, she has considerable experience in the funding of property acquisitions, the funding of corporate acquisitions and lending in the social housing and education sectors. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating funding agreements, advising on security structures, negotiating intercreditor and priorities arrangements and advising on technical company law provisions in relation to funding transactions.
Nicola joined Muckle because she was attracted to the firm’s culture which promotes team work, collaboration and excellent service for clients. As she has spent all of her life living in the North East, she was impressed at the commitment which the firm demonstrates to serving the businesses of the region.
Away from work, Nicola enjoys spending time with her young family and, when time permits, she enjoys a variety of pursuits including walking, travelling and cooking. She has recently been persuaded to go camping for the first time with her son’s Beaver colony (Beavers being junior scouts for those who don’t know) so has spent several recent weekends learning how to pitch a tent!
