Laura has 13 years experience in the insolvency sector, acting for insolvency practitioners, claims funders, creditors, and directors.
She was educated at King’s College, Cambridge and BPP Manchester before returning to Newcastle to train with a local firm before moving in-house at a local insolvency practice. Laura knows the actual extent of the work and man-hours involved in running an insolvency practice; that might be why she’s developed a reputation amongst clients as being able to cut through the noise and get to the point quickly!
Laura is one of the very few practitioners in the North East who has built a specialism in contentious insolvency, both in the personal insolvency and corporate insolvency context and has acted for a number of insolvency practitioners both regionally and nationally. She has also advised directors in the context of the liquidation of companies and their consequent duties, as well as advising creditors through the insolvency process and making the process clear and understandable.
Laura is able to bring commercial awareness to proceedings and ensure a quick, cost-effective and satisfactory resolution for the parties involved.
Laura is quickly building a reputation in non-contentious advisory and transactional work and is known for her technical knowledge and practical approach.
