2nd Year Trainee
Virginia graduated from the University of Kent with a BSc in Psychology before completing her GDL and LPC at the then, College of Law. After obtaining her MA in Human Rights at the University College London, Virginia interned at the International Criminal Court in The Hague and was later offered a position at the court on her return from her gap year.
Virginia moved from The Hague to join Muckle LLP in September 2016; she has since completed seats with the Banking and Restructuring team and the Real Estate team.
What attracted Virginia to Muckle LLP was the firm’s unique approach to promoting a good quality of life by encouraging a work-life balance, healthy eating and exercise, giving back to the community and being environmentally conscious. The firm’s running, walking and fitness clubs as well as the community work events promote teamwork as well as wellbeing among staff which naturally feeds into the office environment and into the infamous “Muckle culture”.
As a trainee, at the first rung of her career, Virginia wanted to make sure that she had a good foundation to build off of. Muckle LLP invests in the development of its trainees by providing them high quality work, support and exposure in the market. In her current seat (Dispute Resolution), Virginia has been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to assist the team in a number of high value claims as well as work on her own caseload under the supervision of a senior associate or partner. In her first six months of this seat, Virginia attended a trial at the High Court in London and mediation at various locations across the country. These experiences have further fuelled Virginia’s interest in commercial litigation and, with the support of the firm, is now completing a second seat with the Dispute Resolution team.
