Our 2016 awards included:
The most active North East legal advisers throughout 2016 have been revealed by information services provider, Experian. They place Muckle LLP’s Corporate team in pole position once again for completing the most deals, having previously ranked us as the top dealmaker since 2014.

|Legal 500 UK Awards 2017
We won this award after completing more transactions 2015 than any of the other corporate law firm in the North East, with deals that amounted to over £500m in total value. Judges were also impressed that we’re able to handle lots of UK-wide transactions from our single site in Newcastle, winning work ahead of firms that have a network of offices nationwide.
Insider North East Dealmaker Awards 2016
In September 2016, at their 10th Anniversary Awards, we won:
Over the last 10 years we have completed 43% (215) more deals than any other law firm in the region (closest rival 150).
Winners are selected following confidential voting by members of the North East business community (banks, accountants, venture capitalists, business leaders and owners, etc.), and we are absolutely delighted to have received such recognition from our peers once again.
|Investors in People Awards and Accreditations
In June 2016 we were reassessed and reaccredited for IIP Gold status. We were also awarded the IIP Health and Wellbeing accreditation for the first time. With only a handful of UK companies, not to mention law firms, to achieve this status, this is a fantastic achievement for the firm.
The Investors in People Gold award represents achievements of world class best practice. We are proud to be the only law firm in the North East to achieve both awards. It reflects the support, encouragement and recognition that we give to all our people and is part of our continued commitment to providing an excellent service to all our clients.
|Solicitors Journal Award 2016
We impressed the panel with the amount of CSR work undertaken and the dedication demonstrated by the firm to its clients, employees and the community (including over 2,500 hours volunteering to numerous projects).
|CIPD North East 2016
Here we were recognised for our innovation in improving our employees’ physical and mental health and wellness. Through initiatives like Healthy Living Week, health checks, worklife balance, fitness group engagement and encouraging community health, we could demonstrate ‘real’ benefits that activities of this nature have on our people and the business.
