Hundreds of jobs in local energy deal

16th Sep 2016 | Energy

MGT Teesside are to develop a 300 megawatt renewable energy plant near Middlesbrough, bringing hundreds of jobs to the region.

A financing deal, which saw Macquarie Bank and Danish pension fund PKA become the joint owners of MGT, made the project possible. The construction work is expected to generate around 600 jobs in what’s been described as one of the world’s largest biomass energy projects.
