We don't get involved with projects to win awards. However, it is rewarding when others in the business community applaud what we are doing.

The Lawyer Awards 2012: Shortlisted for Regional Law Firm of the Year
In May 2012 we were shortlisted as one of the best regional law firms in these national awards. We are told that this reflects our clear vision and strategy, our excellent service model for client care, the high levels of engagement amongst our people, our strong financial performance and our firm-wide corporate responsibility programme.
North East Business Awards 2012 winner:
Heart of the Community Award
In April 2012, our people at Muckle LLP won the 'Heart of the Community' award ahead of all other businesses throughout the North East.
This was awarded in recognition of the care that all of our people have shown in helping the communities where we live and work. It is an award that is aligned closely to our beliefs on the importance of being a responsible business and it reflects what has been done by a huge number of people across the firm.
Insider Dealmakers Awards 2011
Corporate Law Firm of the Year & Corporate Lawyer of the Year
Muckle LLP has won at every North East Insider Dealmakers Awards during the past five years. 2011 is no exception, with the firm winning Corporate Law Firm of the Year and with Craig Swinhoe winning Corporate Lawyer of the Year.
We advised on the sale of North Eastern Tyre & Exhausts to Itochu Corporation of Japan which was nominated for Deal of the Year. Phil Clare was nominated again for Young Dealmaker of the Year, and won this award last year.
LawWorks Annual Awards 2011
Best Partner Level Engagement in a Law Firm and Best Contribution by a Regional Law Firm
We received national recognition again for our work with the local community at the LawWorks Awards 2011. For the second year running the Muckle team was awarded Best Contribution by a Regional Law Firm for our work and strong links in the North East communities over the past 12 months. Muckle LLP also won the award for Best Partner Level Engagement in a Law Firm, which is judged against all law firms in the UK, and recognises Muckle LLP’s commitment to pro bono community work at the most senior levels.

'Outstanding Practice in the Private Sector'
Muckle LLP was recognised for our "Outstanding Practice in the Private Sector" in the North East Equality Awards. The Awards acknowledge those businesses in the North East who have led the way in promoting equality and diversity in the workplace and received scores of entries from across the region.
