In the hot seat...
How do you see the commercial team developing over the next few years?
I would like to see the commercial team continue to grow and strengthen its already strong reputation and client base in the region and beyond. In the case of the banking team, I would like to see it develop as part of the commercial group but also to increase its profile in the market in its own right.
How would you describe your team?
Brilliant! Energetic, commercial and proactive, with all team members pulling in the same direction.
Why did you become a lawyer?
I was looking for variety, intellectual challenge and a career which allowed me to work with lots of different people. Law seemed the ideal choice.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Getting the transaction completed for the client. Working in a great team and having fun at the same time.
Why did you choose to work at Muckle LLP?
I was impressed by Stephen McNicol and everyone I met from the Muckle LLP team. I liked the business-like approach and the fact that there was a very clear sense of purpose and ambition for the firm.
Who or what makes you laugh?
My three year old daughter Grace, Terry Wogan, Ronnie Barker and David Jason.
What was the last CD you bought?
The best of Nina Simone.
What are your personal ambitions?
To combine being a driven and dedicated professional with being a great mum.
What's your greatest fear?
Snakes.
What would be your dream day?
Having a day in Florence with lots of time just to wander through the streets and visit the galleries and museums. In the evening I would go to the opera and spend the evening people-watching and eating fantastic Italian food.
Which 4 famous people dead or alive would you most like to take to dinner?
Winston Churchill, Tony Blair and Bill Gates (for intellectual discussion) and Johnny Depp - just for fun!
