Owners must act faster as trade mark registration opposition procedures change - 04/09/2008

From 1 October 2008, owners of business, brand, product, trading and other names must therefore act faster if they want to object to a new trade mark application.

There are commercial monitoring services that will alert businesses to applications to register the same or similar names, so that advice and, if necessary, prompt action can be taken.
