What should we cover in a cohabitation agreement?
Financial issues are a key part of a cohabitation agreement. The agreement should include what rights each partner has in relation to the property you live in (see questions nine and ten), who owns other assets (see questions 12 and 13), and who is responsible for any debts (see question 15). It's also common for the agreement to look at how you will share expenses while you live together (see question 14).Where you have children, either jointly or with a previous partner, the agreement should also address this (see questions 16 and 17).
