Journal Culture Awards 2006
In 2006 our partnership with The Sage Gateshead was recognised and we were awarded best arts and business partnership in the North East.
We won the accolade at The Journal's Culture Awards 2006 in an inspiring ceremony at Newcastle's Northern Stage, beating fellow finalists Universal Building Society and Seven Stories, and The Bowes Museum and Darlington Building Society.
Our relationship wiht The Sage has grown over the last 6 years. Last year, this resulted in the firm's Creation of an Icon dinner being held at The Sage, behind the scenes tours being organised and various corporate events. We are also advisers for the Learning and Participation Programme at The Sage.
Hugh Welch, our senior partner commented, "Partnership is a word that is often misused but on this occasion it does, for once, accurately describe our relationship with The Sage. Our two organisations work together fantastically well and there has been considerable benefit to each of us through our collaboration. That is a true partnership and one that we are delighted to be part of it.''
Lucy Bird, The Sage's marketing and development director, said: "All good businesses are creative and the best of partnerships, working between different sectors, spark ideas and opportunities that are second to none. That is certainly the case with this partnership.
"The Development team at The Sage Gateshead strives to deliver mutually beneficial relationships with all its partners from the public and private sectors. Muckle LLP and The Sage Gateshead have always been clear in what both organisations aim to achieve from their partnership and we are delighted that our success has now received this regional recognition."
